FAQ
Great care is taken to help search out the young, emerging Canadian-based artists in our communities. Team Timeraiser searches out art schools (e.g. OCAD, York U, George Brown, Sheridan, Ryerson, Humber, etc), galleries, art collectives and competitions featuring emerging artists to help spread the word.
Artists new to the Timeraiser must create a new account while artists that have applied in the past just need to update their account. Artists must submit their contact information, biography and statement plus images for consideration. Artists can upload as many images as they want but can only submit 5 images for each call. Work submitted for consideration must be valued at a maximum of $800 that includes taxes. The artist is responsible for the costs associated with framing work (if necessary).
Artists will receive periodic notifications about where their work is located, the biography of the volunteer that has pledged his/her time and the agency that is benefiting from this contribution.
Artists that participated or attended the event will also be encouraged to submit their thoughts, comments, and ideas about enhancing the Timeraiser in years to come.
Additionally, once the call to artists for the next Timeraiser is set, the arts community will be asked to spread the word to apply for the next Timeraiser.
